The scholarship committee processes, selects and recommends the awarding of scholarships and grants to the board of directors of the Foundation. These scholarships and grants are available to registered psychiatric nurses in Canada presenting at conferences, enrolled in a recognized Indigenous Cultural Safety training programs, studying at a masters or doctoral level, and to students enrolled in an approved undergraduate psychiatric nursing education program in Canada. These scholarships and grants are possible through the generosity of many donors and the sound investments of the board of directors. The sustainability of these scholarships and grants will only be possible through continued donations.

The awarding of these scholarships is based on the excellence of the academic work of the applicant and not on financial necessity. The RPNF is concerned with academic excellence in both undergraduate studies in an approved psychiatric nursing education program, and with psychiatric nursing education at the masters and doctoral levels.
