It is with great pride and respect that we announce the development of the RPNF’s fourth scholarship honouring the first RPN in Canada to receive an honorary doctorate (Doctor of Science (honoris causa) from Brandon University and the founding President of the Registered Psychiatric Nurses Foundation Incorporated.
The Marlene Fitzsimmons Scholarship is to be awarded to promote the enhancement and / or dissemination of clinical knowledge in psychiatric nursing.
It will be awarded to a Manitoba Registered Psychiatric Nurse accepted into a certificate program related to psychiatric nursing or to a RPN representing a paper or poster at a relevant conference.
